Yorkshire Cottages Adds Family-Friendly Properties

For families looking to book a cottage during summer 2014, Yorkshire Cottages has added some family-friendly properties to its portfolio still with good availability for the school summer holidays.

Rupert’s Stable, for example, is a barn conversion that enjoys a countryside location in Easby in North Yorkshire – perfect for walking and cycling and exploring the North York Moors National Park areas and the coastal resorts of Staithes and Whitby. A week’s rental in peak season costs £565.

Sleeping four, the accommodation comprises a spacious open plan living area with original beams, two bedrooms – one double with en-suite and a twin – as well as a family bathroom, whilst outside there’s an enclosed courtyard and lawned area. Two family pets are also welcome at no extra charge.

Also newly-featured is Sleights Cottage, situated along a country lane on the edge of the picturesque village of Rainton, with its two pubs and children’s park. Originally part of the main farmhouse which dates back to the 1800s, it sleeps four in two bedrooms. Seven nights’ rental of the cottage in the peak weeks of July and August costs £465.

Nearby attractions include Newby Hall and Gardens, Lightwater Valley theme park, the World of James Herriott in Thirsk and Ripon Cathedral, whilst the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and the city of York are all within easy reach.
