Wightlink Isle of Wight Walking Offer

Event sponsor Wightlink is offering special fares thoughout the weekend of the 2013 Isle of Wight Autumn Walking Weekend between October 25 and 28. Fares start from £55 for a car and up to six people, or £10 for foot passengers.

Apart from a stamina-testing 77-mile Round the Island walk, there are over 90 other walks on offer at this year’s event with a programme to suit walkers of all ages and abilities. Food and nature-lovers can explore woodland and hedgerows on a West Wight Wildlife walk, learn about different varieties of fungi on the Parkhurst Forest Fungi Walk or join the Garlic Farm Walking Tour.

While in the spirit of the Year of the Dinosaur, there is a Dinosaur Trail, Fossil Hunting Guided Tour and The Dinosaur’s Noisy Stomp – a sponsored fancy dress walk for young children and toddlers in Appley Park.

Wightlink is offering special day return tickets priced at £10 per person for foot passengers travelling on the Portsmouth Harbour-Ryde Pier Head route and £55 for a car and up to six passengers from Portsmouth or Lymington. A two-night B&B break at Gotten Manor from October 27 costs from £118 per person, based on two sharing, including return Wightlink car ferry crossings from Portsmouth or Lymington. A four-night self-catering break at Niton Barns from October 25 costs from £151 per person, based on four sharing, including return Wightlink car ferry crossings from Portsmouth or Lymington.
