A sensational new horseback jousting show launches at Warwick Castle on May 27 2017, offering spectators the chance to marvel at stunt riders, fearless jousting and state of the art special effects.
The scene is set in 1455 when the House of Lancaster holds the English throne. King Henry VI’s crown is challenged by the House of York. The rival houses clash in battle and the bloody war that ensues was to last over 30 years.
Families in 2017 must pledge allegiance to either the House of York or the House of Lancaster and join a 2,000-strong cheering crowd in the jousting arena to watch Wars of the Roses live.
A special offer entrance price of £14.55 per person (to mark a key date in the Wars of the Roses) is available online before May 19 for entry between May 27 and June 4. The show is set in a specially-constructed riverside arena and is included in castle admission at no extra cost.
