Somak Launches new Egypt collection
Somak Holidays has launched a new classic range of cruises and resort breaks, plus a new desert experience to the west of the Nile and a new beach resort a short distance from Cairo.
The ‘Bahariya Oasis Tour’ costs from £1095 including return scheduled flights, transfers, seven nights’ accommodation (four in Cairo, three in the desert), with seven breakfasts, one lunch and three dinners. Bahariya, known as the Northern Oasis, is well known for its Greco-Roman necropolis, ancient temple, 400 hot and cold mineral and sulphur springs and the peaceful pastoral oasis setting.
Other new destinations for 2010 include the beach resort of Ain El Sokhna near Cairo and the Madinat Makadi resort on the Red Sea, 35km south of Hurghada.
All holidays are arranged with scheduled flights with British Airways or EgyptAir. Egypt stays can be combined with Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa and the new brochure includes suggested itineraries.
