Scoot Ferries New Passenger ServiceScoot Ferries New Passenger Service

Isle of Wight based Scoot Ferries launched a new passenger ferry service between Cowes and Portsmouth on November 5 2015. Having successfully operated a special one week only Cowes to Hamble service during Cowes Week 2015, this new route joins the first permanent route launched between Yarmouth and Lymington in September.

With a 35 minute crossing time, the service operates using 41 passenger high speed catamaran. It runs from Trinity Landing in Cowes to Millennium Pontoon in Portsmouth and, connecting with every sailing, is an optional complimentary five minute shuttle bus service to and from Gunwharf Quays and the Hard Interchange for bus and rail links. the crossings are designed to help commuters from the Isle of Wight to catch trains departing from Portsmouth to London and Gatwick airport.

The new route starts early in the morning and finishes late at night seven days a week, 365 days a year. Passengers can book online up to five minutes before departure to secure a seat. Pre booked seats start from £22.50 return (valid for 30 days from date of outbound journey). Season tickets are available. Bikes and dogs travel for free.
