Qatar Airways Announces six new routes

Qatar Airways continues to expand with plans to launch six new routes in Europe and Asia from October 2010.

The Doha-based airline will begin daily flights to Phuket, via Kuala Lumpur, on October 11 and from November 1 will add four flights a week, via Bangkok, to the Vietnamese capital Hanoi. It will also increase services on the Doha-Ho Chi Minh City route from four a week to daily.

In Europe, Qatar Airways will launch thrice-weekly flights to Nice, via Milan, on November 24. In the New Year, the airline begins a four flights a week service to the Romania capital Bucharest on January 17 2011. The flights continue on to Budapest. Finally, a five flights a week service to Brussels starts on January 31.

This week, commencing June 24 2010, the airline has expanded into South America with the launch of flights to Sao Paolo in Brazil and the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. Over the past six months, the carrier has introduced flights to Bengaluru (Bangalore), Copenhagen, Ankara, Tokyo and Barcelona.
