Norwegian has launched what it claims is the UK's cheapest flights to Brazil with a new direct route from London to Rio de Janeiro. The four-times-weekly service to Rio's Galeão International Airport from Gatwick will launch on March 31 2019.
The flights (on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) will be operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with up to 344 seats in an economy and Premium cabin configuration. Seats are on sale now from £240 one-way. One-way Premium fares start at £549.90.
Outbound flights depart London at 12:00, arriving in Rio de Janeiro at 19:25, the inbound flights depart Rio de Janeiro 22:25 arriving 13:35 at Gatwick Airport. The convenient flight schedule will also offer Norwegian customers in Europe and Brazil opportunities for onward connections using the carrier’s short-haul network of European flights.
Norwegian offers a growing network of long-haul flights from Gatwick to 12 popular USA destinations and to Buenos Aires. Flights from Gatwick to the Argentine capital will increase from four weekly to a daily service from December 3 2018 in response to customer demand.
