MyFerryLink Short Breaks

With the pound currently at a great rate against the Euro and low petrol prices, MyFerryLink suggests that now is a great time to book a short break to France and features some special accommodation offers in northern France.

The Dover Calais operator offers up to 16 daily crossings. Short break (72 hour) fares for a car and up to nine passengers start from £35 each way and any duration fares start from £45 each way. The £35 one way offer must be booked by May 31 for travel before June 30 2015 and is not available on the following dates: Dover Calais route: 27 to 29 March, 1 to 5 April, 22 to 24 May and Calais Dover route: 3 to 5 April, 18 to 19 April . It applies to cars and up to 9 people or motorcycles. A supplement will apply for motorhomes, minibuses, trailers and caravans.

As an example of accommodation, Arrest en Baie is a small farmhouse B&B with just five guestrooms in the Baie de Somme. Prices start from €55 per room per night. There’s a fully equipped kitchen for guests, a cupboard full of games and a beautiful courtyard to sit in. Breakfast is provided and evening meals can be booked in advance. A three day, two night break for two people this spring starts from £76 per person, including return ferry travel with MyFerryLink.

Another option is L’Ermitage de la Fontaine des Roches, a five guestroom B&B situated on the edge of the stunning Forest of Compiègne in Picardy, close to Pierrefonds with its mock medieval castle used for the filming of the TV series Merlin. Prices start from €75 per room per night. A three day, two night break for two people this spring starts from £91 per person, including return ferry travel with MyFerryLink
