Mercury New Escorted Tours 2018/19

Independent operator Mercury Holidays has added six destinations and 11 new tours for 2018/19. Also new are package tours to Thailand and solo holidays.

The six new countries featured in the third edition Escorted Tours 2018/19 brochure are Egypt, Israel, Panama, Ethiopia, Turkey and Cuba.

The range of tours in countries including India, Japan, Vietnam and Costa Rica has been expanded and new options offered include 'Sailing Turkey's Blue Coast'; 'Egypt The Majestic Nile'; 'Israel the Holy Land'; 'Costa Rica and Panama'; 'Ethiopia A Cultural Odyssey'; and 'Viva Cuba'.

The eight-day 'Sailing Turkey's Blue Coast' trip leads in at £759 per person, based on two adults sharing. Accommodation is on a traditional wooden gulet with onboard chef, and the price includes flights, some meals and entry fees. Tour highlights include the picturesque Gulf of Fethiye, Yassica Island, scenic Bedri Rahmi Bay, Turunc Bay and Paradise Island.

New solo escorted tours include 'Essence of North India' and 'China Discovery'. All solo tours begin with a welcome drinks reception. The ten-day Essence of North India' trip costs from £1399 including scheduled flights from the UK, airport taxes and security charges, all internal travel, accommodation, meals as specified, entry fees to all sites and local English speaking guides throughout. Highlights will include a city tour of Old and New Delhi, the chance to spot Bengal Tigers in Ranthambore National Park, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Taj Mahal, City Palace Jaipur and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial.

Thailand has been introduced to the Worldwide Holidays brochure with six hotels in Koh Samui and seven in Phuket.
