McKinlay Kidd New Trips for 2018

Tour operator McKinlay Kidd specialises in self-guided, special-experience and tailor-made holidays in Scotland, Ireland and England. It has recently added five new tours for 2018, all of which can be tailored to customers’ particular requirements.

A new option in Scotland is a five-day driving tour 'Castle to Castle in a Tesla' with stays at two historic Scottish castles, one in Perthshire and another on Argyll’s majestic west coast. The trip costs from £1,425 per person (based on two sharing), including five days’ rental of a Tesla Model S from Edinburgh and four nights’ B&B in five-star castle hotels (Fonab Castle and the Isle of Eriska, both which have Tesla charging points). Departures are between March and November 2018.

Another new trip is 'Scotland in Miniature by Train' which combines Oban, the Isle of Mull, Loch Lomond and the Isle of Arran. Highlights include a ride on the West Highland Line and a guided wildlife safari on Mull with the opportunity to spot eagles, otters, deer and seals. Prices start from £1,145 per person (two sharing), including nine nights’ B&B in small hotels/guest houses, train travel (Glasgow to Oban, Oban to Loch Lomond and Loch Lomond to Ardrossan), return ferry crossings to Mull and Arran, a wildlife safari on Mull, a boat trip on Loch Lomond and a RiB excursion from Arran. Departures are throughout April to October 2018.

The other new tours include an eight-day 'North Coast 500 Fly-drive' (with flights from the UK to Inverness, car rental and B&B hotel/guest house accommodation en route), a 12-night 'Classic England by Train' tour and a two-week 'Explore Britain by Train' round-trip itinerary from London.

All McKinlay Kidd trips come with personalised holiday documentation including directions, recommended routes and suggestions for places to visit. All accommodation and experiences have been personally tried and tested by the McKinlay Kidd team.
