Japan Travel Centre New for 2017

Specialist operator Japan Travel Centre has put together a new Family Tour for 2017, combining the best of Japan, from the bustling and modern city of Tokyo to the more reserved and laidback Kyoto, and the invigorating buzz of Okinawa. In Tokyo, visitors can take in its famous gardens, Tsukiji Fish Market and Tokyo Skytree before embarking on their choice of day-trip to Nikko’s UNESCO-listed shrine complex, former medieval capital Kamakura’s Big Buddha, or alpine hot spring resort Hakone with its close-up views of Mount Fuji.

From the capital, the tour then heads west by bullet train for three days in Kyoto with a chance to try mouth-watering Kobe beef, visit the UNESCO-listed Himeji Castle, Japan’s most spectacular original surviving castle, and tour Kyoto’s lantern-lit nostalgic geisha district of Gion, before catching a short domestic flight from Osaka to Japan’s mellow southern island resort of Okinawa. Here guests can choose to relax or sightsee, with evenings spent sampling the laid-back local nightlife in downtown Naha, Okinawa’s capital. The trip ends with an unforgettable day-long getaway to Zamami Island, perfect for snorkelling, scuba-diving or just relaxing on the beach.

The 10-day tour costs from £1,740, based on twinshare, which includes return flights from UK, hotel accommodation with breakfast, guided tour of choice with lunch in Tokyo, airport limousine bus from Narita to Tokyo and one-way Airpass on JAL from Osaka to Okinawa.
