Insight Vacations Adds Luxury Gold Tours

Escorted tour specialist Insight Vacations is expanding its Luxury Gold worldwide programme with with 16 new itineraries, nine new countries, two new continents and an inaugural voluntourism extension.

The 2017 collection will feature 39 escorted journeys offering five-star elegance and private VIP experiences across Europe, North and South America, India, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. The 16 new itineraries include trips to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands, all for the first time.

The 18-day 'Inspiring IndoChina' tour combines Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Guests will meet a former Cambodian soldier and visit the Imperial City of Hue. Prices start from £6825.

Other new options for 2017 include 13-day 'Inspiring Australia' journey through Queensland, the Northern Territory and New South Wales. Highlights include snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, sunset canapés at Uluru, a bushwalk in the Blue Mountains and a cruise across Sydney Harbour on an America’s Cup yacht. Or, 'The French Connection', a 13-day exploration of England, Guernsey, Jersey and France. This unique journey takes guests through Thomas Hardy’s Dorset, the fascinating war history of Plymouth, the 1588 Spanish Armada, and the German occupation of the Channel Islands before culminating in Paris and the Loire Valley. A new 12-day 'Classic South America' features highlights including a visit to Rio’s Michelin-starred Mee Restaurant, a luxury hotel near the thundering Iguassu Falls, and a stay in the five-star Belmond Copacabana Palace.

Luxury Gold is also introducing a voluntourism extension in India where guests learn about sustainable farming and traditional crafts in rural Rajasthan.
