Headwater Adds Walking Holiday on La Palma

New for autumn 2012 and spring 2013, Headwater has joined forces once again with long-standing walking guide, Neil Flynn, to introduce a seven-night walking holiday on La Palma.

Often referred to as La Isla Bonita, meaning "the Pretty Island", La Palma is a strikingly dramatic island, full of contrasting natural beauty, offering some of the finest walking in the Canaries. The itinerary explores the lush nature reserves and lauresilva forests in the north and the windswept black volcanic calderas further south. Just below La Palma’s steep central spine, scenic walking trails link pretty white villages perched above steep citrus terraces and offer stunning of views out across the ocean to neighbouring Tenerife and La Gomera.

Base for the week is the four-star Parador just above the island's capital, Santa Cruz. Headwater guests are guaranteed sea view rooms (always with balconies) and the pool, sauna and extensive landscaped gardens are the perfect places to relax at the end of each walking day. Prices start from £1248 and include all meals and wine in the evenings
