Explore Summer Savers

Adventure specialist Explore has chosen 100 of its favourite Family, Discovery, Walking & Trekking, Cycling and Wildlife holidays from around the world and reduced the prices of July and August 2014 departures by up to £300 if booked by the 29th May.

For example, a 23-day Discovery journey from Cape Town through the Namibian Desert, the national parks of Namibia and Botswana to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe now costs from £3947 per person, a saving of up to £300. The price includes return flights, four nights hotel and 18 nights camping, most meals, transport and the service of a driver, tour leader, local guides, boat crew and cook.

A two-week Exotic Java & Bali adventure costs from £1898 per person, a saving of up to £100. Departing on 2nd and 16th of August 2014, the trip in Indonesia explores the islands of Java and Bali, visits the Buddhist temple at Borobudur, Yogyakarta’s Kraton Palace and Royal tombs of Gunung Kawi. Clients will enjoy Mount Bromo at sunset, discover the rice paddies and ravines of Ubud in Bali and relax on the beaches of Lovina. The price includes return flights, 13 nights hotel with breakfast, transport and the service of a driver and tour leader.

Walking fans can save up to £200 on a Kilimanjaro Lemosho Trek and Zanzibar Island itinerary. Highlights include a trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak (5895m), the highest point in Africa. Following the little-used Lemosho route it climbs and descends on different paths, walking through the mountain’s different climatic regions to see the changing plant and animal life. The tour takes in the rice fields of Kibo, the daunting Barranco Wall and the breath-taking views from the summit itself, plus a chance to relax on the shores of the Indian Ocean on the spice island of Zanzibar. With three departures available in July and August, the two week holiday starts from £2799 per person which includes return flights, two nights lodge accommodation, seven nights camping, two nights bungalow and two nights hotel (all with breakfast), most other meals, transport and the service of a driver, tour leader, cook, Explore representative and porters.

Cyclists can save up to £150 on a 15-day Cycle Cuba tour which takes in the colonial capital of Havana, tropical forests, limestone landscapes, the forests of Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve and the Caribbean coast to Trinidad. Departing 3rd August 2014, the tour starts from £1913 per person including return flights, eight nights hotel and six nights homestay all with breakfast, one evening meal, transport, bike hire and the service of a driver and tour leader/cycle guide.
