Discover Egypt What's New 2018/19

This month, October 2018, Discover Egypt has introduced a new cruiser, the M/S Tulip, on their popular classic seven-night Nile cruises. Totally refurbished, the contemporary themed cabins have a panoramic window and balcony rail offering fantastic views. There are 40 standard cabins, plus eight upper deck junior suites that also offer an outside terrace and two single cabins that have no single supplement. The luxury ship also features a large sun deck, swimming pool, sauna and small fitness suite, along with a Deck bar, lounge bar and main restaurant. Prices start from £997 per person for 03 and 10 December 2018 departures which includes direct flights from Heathrow to Luxor, full board accommodation and 10 guided excursions.

New for 2019 is an exclusive programme of long Nile cruises that cover 600 miles through Lower, Middle and Upper Egypt on the five-star Jaz Royale. Launching on 21 February 2019, these itineraries allow passengers to discover the best of Egypt's classical and ancient sights along the Nile, from Cairo to Luxor and Aswan, visiting Minya, Tel Amarna, Beni Hassan, as well as the Pyramids, Cairo Museum and the magnificent treasures and exciting atmosphere of Egypt's capital city. There are four cruise itineraries to choose from; an 11-night cruise from £1,799 per person, a 12-night cruise from £1,899 per person and two 14-night cruise options from £2,099. The Jaz Royale is a deluxe boat with 48 cabins all of which are air-conditioned, with the main deck and upper deck cabins having large panoramic windows. Two lower deck cabins are available with no single supplement.

Also new to Discover Egypt is the stylish dahabiya, Sonesta Amirat. With its five cabins and two suites, the Sonesta Amirat is an ideal dahabiya for those wanting to experience a less well-known Egypt, visiting small islands, local villages, and Pharaonic sites that are often missed by the larger Nile cruises. On board facilities include an open air oriental-style Jacuzzi, spacious sundeck and stylish common lounge.
