Delta Launches New Heathrow-Salt Lake City Route

Delta Air Lines is to launch a new nonstop flight between Heathrow and Salt Lake City on May 1 2016. The largest airline operating in Salt Lake City, Delta offers connections to more than 50 destinations throughout the West and into Canada

The flight, which will be the only service linking London and the state capital of Utah, will operate year-round using 210-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Salt Lake City is Delta's eighth destination served nonstop from Heathrow and the flight will operate daily throughout the summer and up to four times weekly in the winter season beginning October 29 2016. The airline also flies from Salt Lake City to Paris (year-round) and Amsterdam (seasonal).

Delta has also revealed plans to add a nonstop service between New York JFK and Edinburgh from May 26 2016, offering passengers up to 60 convenient onward connections from JFK. The daily round-trip flight will be operated using 163-seat Boeing 757 aircraft. Delta’s new service from Scotland joins Virgin Atlantic’s three times weekly summer seasonal service from Glasgow to Orlando.

Delta is launching both routes as part of its new joint-venture partnership with Virgin Atlantic that began in 2013.
