Best Served Scandinavia Adds Autumn Northern Lights

Best Served Scandinavia is offering autumn northern lights breaks for the first time in 2018.

Although winter is traditionally the most popular time to see the aurora, the operator's new brochure features autumnal breaks which include activities such as foraging for wild mushrooms and cloudberries plus wildlife walks and mountain biking.

Two autumn breaks are available to Finland, one to northern Norway and once to Sweden. Accommodation ranges from log cabins to tree-top hotels and glass-domed igloos.

As an example, a four-day 'Levi Glass Igloo' Finland trip costs from £815 including flights, three nights' accommodation with breakfast, two at the Levi Panorama hotel and one night in a glass igloo at Levin Iglut with a northern lights cruise. Additional activities include canoeing, foraging, horse treks, bike riding and a high-rope course.

Other new itineraries for 2018 include a five-day self-drive trip 'Top of Denmark' which costs from £745.

Best Served Scandinavia is an independent, tailor-made tour operator specialising in organising holidays to Scandinavia and the Nordic regions, including Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark and Greenland. It also creates luxury holidays to Canada and the Baltic regions.
