Activities Abroad, is promoting a selection of action-packed family holidays for the May 2017 half-term (from 27 May).
One new option this year is a French Gorges du Verdon Adventure, a week-long self-drive holiday based in the spectacular Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region. Families will stay a short drive from the 700m-deep Gorges du Verdon, which is ideal for canyoning, white-water rafting, hiking and climbing. Other activities available include cycling or swimming in the Lac de Sainte-Croix. The trip costs from £775 per person (minimum age 12) which includes seven nights’ B&B and two dinners. Flights and activities are extra.
Another suggestions from the family activity holiday specialist is a Magical Madeiran Adventure based in Funchal which offers the chance to go whale and dolphin watching, trekking, swimming, snorkelling and sea-kayaking. Departing 27 May, the price is from £1,345 per person (adults) and £965 (children aged 8-11). This includes flights from London, transfers, seven nights’ B&B, five lunches, two dinners, guided activities and instructors.
Other options include family adventures in Gozo, Croatia and Greece.
